Leinster, Delaney, Sheckley, and Ballard Audio and More.

Another good selection of free genre items with several new audio stories.

Online Fiction
At SpaceWesterns, "Old Habits" by Amanda Spikol.

Amanda Spikol brings us a prequel to “A Few Sunsets Too Many”. In this story we learn a bit more about the Candriodale.

Online Here.

Also at SpaceWesterns, Parts two and three of H.P.Lovecraft and Zealia Bishop's "The Mound."

Online Here (part two) and Here (part three).

Polu Texni has "Collapse" by Michael A. Burstein.

"The day that I lost my funding for my solar observation project was the same day I first noticed that the universe had begun to contract."

Online Here [via SF Signal]

Audio Fiction
A Bite of Stars, a Slug of Time, and Thou has begun their new season at Freaky Trigger with three new episodes up.

Episode 9 featuring Robert Sheckley's “Zirn Left Unguarded, The Jenghik Palace in Flames, Jon Westerley Dead” read by Elisha Sessions. Available streaming and in MP3 download Here.

Episode 10 featuring “Track 12″ by J.G. Ballard, read by Elisha Sessions. Available streaming and in MP3 download Here.

And Episode 11 featuring “Aye, and Gomorrah” by Samuel R. Delany, read by Elisha Sessions. Available streaming and in MP3 download Here.

***WARNING*** This story is extremely inappropriate for minors.

Available streaming and in MP3 Here.

Radio Tales of the Strange and Fantastic has a pair of classic old time radio programs up.

Lights Out: "Murder Castle"
and X Minus One: "First Contact" based on a Murray Leinster story.

Both are in MP3 format Here.

Listening Booth has a trio of cool old time radio shoes up. (I'm not sure how long these tree will be up though).
Author's Playhouse: "The Kraken"
Hall of Fantasy: "The Crawling Thing" An ambitious scientist invents a formula that, when injected into a tarantula, causes the critter to grow really, really big.
SF68: "Space Cow" A ship en route from Ganymede back to Earth is waylaid on Mars when the indigenous leviathan they are carrying in their cargo hold becomes ill.

All are in MP3 format Here.

Comic Books
The Horrors of it All has an interesting story "Haunt from the Sea" first published in Journey into Fear #7, that feels like it belonged in Weird Tales magazine. There is a contest concerning the rather weird ending to the story so don't miss the story Here.

And Golden Age Comic Book Stories has a Space Ace story from Manhunt #4, as well as a two-part Marksman story from Smash Comics Here.

Other Cool Posts
The website "My Star Trek Scrapbook" has a couple of newspaper clippings about the animated Star Trek series Here.

(In my opinion, although the half-hour format made the episodes feel rushed, some of the stories were better than many third season TOS stories (e.g. "Spock's Brain")).

SFFaudio has their fifth podcast up, discussing news about fantasy and SF audio. Online Here.

BestScienceFictionStories.com has a look at Interzone magazine with links to four reviews and free online stories from it (by David Brin, Stephen Baxter, Dominic Green, and Alastair Reynolds). Available Here.

And Variety SF has a review (and link to a free online version) of "The Los Amigos Fiasco" by Arthur Conan Doyle, a "sometimes hilarious, other times merely amusing" story about a "method to turn mere mortals into supermen."

The review and link are Here.
