Sci Fi Songs and More

A quiet afternoon but still a few goodies.

Online Fiction
Jason Stoddard has just posted his near future story "1337 in 2012" for free online reading. It's likely quite good, but I'm not up to reading anything about financial crises and elections right now.

Free online HERE. [via Futurismic]

Audio Fiction
Maria Lectrix has part 6 of 7 of Rick Raphael's near future SF story "Code Three" read by Maureen O’Brien.

In MP3 HERE.

Other Cool
Sci Fi Songs has a Halloween appropriate song "Beautiful Vampire," which was inspired by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu's Gothic novella "Carmilla" - which may well have been inspired by Coleridge's "Christabel"

In a free MP3 download HERE.

"My Star Trek Scrapbook" has a 1967 article from TV Star Parade, "Dressing Room Secrets of Star Trek" about the makeup needed for Leonard Nimoy to become Spock. Also in this post is a Virgil Finlay portrait of Spock - available full-sized at the site.

Online HERE.

And The Silver Key has an interesting post "'The Scouring of the Shire': Accounting for the price of victory."

Very interesting for those who have read the trilogy but too spoiler filled for those who haven't.
