Comics, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror.

Today's comic section, a little ahead of the other sections. A good variety today (two fantasy stories, wow!)

Golden Age Comics has recently added Strange Worlds #9 from 1952. Unadulterated golden age skiffy. Surprisingly, some of the interior art is even better than then cover.

In CBZ format HERE. (also new there, jungle adventure in Jungle Comics 044)

Fortress of Fortitude has a very cool B&W fantasy story by the great Wally Wood. “The Curse,” is rated PG-13ish.

Online HERE.

Diversions of the Groovy Kind has a beautifully illustrated story "Barometer Falling!" from Sorcery #5. Very cool. It's slightly hard to read online, but if you save the images and zoom in while reading, it's no problem at all.

Available HERE.

Magic Carpet Ride has a cool B&W comic from Tales Of Voodoo "Hair Yee-eeee"

Cool story, but be warned, the endings a real head scratcher (lol). "Gimme a head with hair, long beautiful hair / Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen"

Online HERE.

Vinnie Rattolle's Records has Creepy Things #3 available for download in PDF and zipped JPEGS.

I like the nixie-like beings in "The Grass is Always Greener."

Available HERE. [site found via crosseyed cyclops]

Crosseyed Cyclops has the horror anthology Marvel Tales #153 for download in CBR format.

I love the cover question. "What would you do if you were the last man on Earth?" Assuming that it's last "person" not merely last "male," then, other than mere surviving, reading is the only thing I can think of to do, like Burgess Meredith's character in the Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough at Last."

Available HERE.

And also at Crosseyed Cyclops, Mystery Tales #33 and #50 HERE.

And another cool issue of Gold Key's Grimm's Ghost Stories, this time number nine, from Cool-Mo-Dee.

Available in CBZ HERE.
