Celebrating the Birth . . . Robert Heinlein

Robert Anson Heinlein (July 7, 1907 – May 8, 1988).  Do I even have to write anything here?  It's hard to imagine any science fiction fan who is not familiar with at least a few of Heinlein's works. But to fill space . . .. Heinlein, along with Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke, is one of the "big three" of science fiction, whose works are omnipresent and still extremely influential. Although some of his works were influenced by his extremely controversial, and often deliberately misconstrued, political opinions, most are just good old-fashioned science fiction adventure.  He "received the most Hugos for Best Novel as well as the most nominations, with five wins (including one Retro Hugo) and eleven nominations."  Unfortunately, due in part to the Mickey Mouse Protection Act, only a little of his work is available for free.
