Free E-Books and More

There are enough free eBooks to fill an eBookshelf (available for only $19.99 plus shipping and handling).  Most won't be free for long so get them quick.  There's also new audio horror at Pseudopod and part four of  a classic SF story.  And though I generally avoid fanfics, G. Norman Lippert's James Potter series is significantly better than most.  The fourth book is now being serialized and the first three books are available at the same site.

Fiction
• At HiLobrow: "The Man with Six Senses - Part 4" by Muriel Jaeger. Science Fiction. 1927.
"This early and brilliant effort to export the topic of extra-sensory perception out of folklore and occult romances and import it into science fiction was first published in 1927 — by Leonard and Virginia Woolf’s Hogarth Press."

Audio Fiction
• At Pseudopod: "Boxed" by Donald McCarthy. Horror.
"A few beads of sweat slithered down Trevor’s forehead and he blinked rapidly, a panic attack oncoming. His pulse was quick, as if he’d just come in from a run, and the contents of his stomach threatened to come lunging out of his mouth if he didn’t calm down. He grabbed a pillow off the sofa and placed it over his mouth, screaming."

Fanfiction
• At Author's Site: "James Potter and the Morrigan Web - Chapters 1-22" by G. Norman Lippert. Harry Potter. Fantasy.
"James had no plan. He merely meant to wander the halls and perhaps clear his mind. He was still feeling disgruntled about Rose and Scorpius. Beneath his anger, however, what he felt most was hurt. He had expected them to believe him. It was one thing for the uppity-ups at the Ministry to doubt his explanation of the Lady of the Lake. People like them were famously skeptical of such things."
