Lt. Bob's Movie and Brief Reviews.

Lt. Bob returns with a great Sunday moooooviiiieee! Godzilla King of the Monsters (1956). Seriously, this one is cool (not as good as the unedited Japanese version, but still pretty good.) Stupid space captain may or may not post a QuasarDragon presents today as he is still tired from running up Monks Mound at Cahokia yesterday. He forgot that he is no longer a seventeen year old track athlete. Ha-ha.

Brief Reviews

Jonah Hex (2010). 2 stars out of 5. A scarred, bounty hunter is recruited to stop an old enemy from reeking destruction on the U.S. This cheesy, film is by no means good, but it does manage to be watchable - if you are not expecting much.

It is often illogical and occasionaly poorly filmed (with a few scenes that are too dark to see the action.) It just doesn't quite work, but is a decent 'b' movie. Still you're much better grabbing an old issue of Weird Western Tales if you want to see Jonah Hex.

Scott Pilgran Vs. the World (2010). 4 of 5 stars. A comedy about boy meets girl, boy looses girl, boy must fight her seven evil exes, boy must break up with his fake highschool girlfriend - in random order.

This is a very good, intelligent comedy, but one many people will not "get." And when people don't understand stomething, they often feel it is dumb. A comic bool reality with a strong videogame leitmotif is not for everyone, but if you get it, it really is quite amusing.
