Gaming Items and a Quiet Thursday

Only a little free fiction today, though all good stories, of course. There is however, quite a bit of good free gaming items including monsters, eZines, and a complete 1e compatible module. Until next time, stay cool.

Today's illustration is for the "Rulak" in the gaming section.

@Suduvo: "Stock Photos" and "The Road Ahead" by Robert Reed, from Fantasy and Science Fiction (May/June 2011).

Serial Fiction
@Paizo.com: "A Passage to Absalom - Chapter One: Mulled Wine" by Dave Gross. Fantasy.
"The first blush of dawn cast the Imperial Shipyards into stark silhouette, a forest of black cranes and masts standing on the eastern docks of Cassomir. Along the strand, gulls vied with ravens for the shellfish buried beneath a thin blanket of midwinter snow. The lapping waves left a sensuous border of sand at the edge of the snowfall, like the impression of a woman's lips upon a crystal goblet. Soon the tide would recede, and the Sea Lion would set sail for Absalom."

@Dragonsfoot: "The Village With No Name" by Robert James.
  • "Along the road in a distant location is a village with no name but with citizens under siege by a gang of evil rogues, adventurers and rubes. Who will confront these men and their leaders? And what twist of fate awaits the PCs? The Village with No Name is an AD&D 1st Edition Adventure for a party of 1st-to-3rd level adventurers"
