Pathfinder Tales and 1300+ audio fiction stories (not new)

It was an extremely busy week and weekend so it's been awhile since the last post. I just wanted to highlight a few great free-fiction sites, including Pathfinder Tales and many of the great SF/Fantasy/Horror audio podcasts. If you break out your calculators, you'll notice that there are well over 1300 great free audio stories available for downloading. Whoever first said "you get what you pay for" hadn't anticipated these sites (and I know there are a few more great free podcasts that I haven't listed yet.).

Fiction
Pathfinder Tales is now on its twenty-ninth free professionally written serial fantasy story, "In the Event of My Untimely Demise" by Robin D. Laws.   Don't worry if your not familial with the pathfinder universe, professional writers like Laws, Tim Prat, Robert E. Vardeman, etc. put story first.

Audio Fiction Sites
Dunesteef - Now up to Episode #133 "The Dead Of Tetra Manna" by Mark L. S. Stone, Dunesteef is high end free Fantasy/Science Fiction/Horror audio fiction site. Always good.

Escape Pod - One of the first great free audio sites, Escape Pod's latest episode "Chasers" by Scott W. Baker is its 359th! freely downloadable SF audio short story. They have a wide variety of SF stories there, so you're sure to find many you like.

PodCastle - Now up to episode #223 "Five Bullets on the Banks of the Sadji " by Keffy R.M. Kehrli. PodCastle is the fantasy equivalent of Escape Pod.

Pseudopod -  "Of Ants And Mountains" by Charlie Bookout is Pseudopod's 297th horror fiction podcast. Turn out the lights and listen to these in the dark.

StarShipSofa - Episode #253 "Greenland" by Chris Beckett continues StarShipSofa's long tradition of great free audio fantasy and science fiction.

Tales to Terrify - Relative newcomer Tales to Terrify is up to episode number 34 "Schroedinger’s Human" by Anna Taborska. Another great free audio-horror site.

Well Told Tales - This now defunct pulp-fiction podcast ran from 2007 to 2009. However, all 60 episodes are available free at the Internet Archive.

Audio Fiction/Science News Site
Beam Me Up - Eclectic, entertaining, podcast/radio show/blog that delves into sf news, science news, reviews and there's also serialized audio fiction.

And for more free fiction check out Regan Wolfrom's roundup "Free SF/F/H Fiction for 9/01/2012" at QuasarDragon's arch-enemy site SF Signal. (OK, not arch-enemy at all, more like awesomely cool site that QD really likes and respects. But arch-enemy sounds much cooler!)
